Thank you presenting things so clearly and cleverly, as always. I'm immediately starting to translate it into French, as I feel local movements worldwide *need* to finally learn to address the need for safety in a way that is both appropriate, empowering, and allows for political action.

Love these points! I have felt a huge difference in groups that both practice somatics/nervous system tools (or even neotantric intimacy practices which have overlaps with somatics) for cultivating embodied safety, and especially groups that practice authentic relating or NVC to help create psychological safety for having very real tools for managing ruptures. The earlier we bring these practices into retreats and immersions, the more group coherence and the less likely we face major ruptures. After teaching at a very leftist/queer intimacy festival and seeing how everyone was walking on eggshells and there was so much violence trying to 'create safety' I started noticing what was missing compared to most intimacy spaces I work in, and it was those 2 parts mostly!!!

Consonant with my own stance and observations.

I will be sharing with future participants in my work.

Gracias

Thanks! This is fabulous as always. Any advice for skillfully approaching leaders of orgs who aren't 'receiving dissent and divergence with grace'?
